It allows you to backfeed power from a generator into your home’s panel, safely powering selected circuits without dangerous backfeeding.
Is a generator interlock legal?
Yes—when installed correctly by a licensed electrician, it’s compliant with National Electrical Code.
What size generator do I need?
Most homes can run essentials with a 7,500 watt generator. Most customer’s are buying generator’s closer to 10 KW.
Can I install this myself?
We highly recommend a licensed professional to avoid risks and code violations.
Does this affect my utility power?
No. The interlock switch prevents the generator and utility from running at the same time.
